Services

The Wound Care Protocols outpatient clinic was established in 1995. The clinic offers the most advanced treatment of chronic wounds. The protocols have been field tested for ten years and are based on moist wound healing concepts. Treatments are changed to reflect the current literature and advancements in the industry. We not only treat the wound but also look at the disease processes that typically underlie chronic wounds. We are committed to complete patient care for wound healing and prevention.

• We provide the most advanced treatment for pressure, diabetic, venous insufficiency, arterial, and mixed ulcers as well as for non-resolving surgical, trauma and burn sites.  

• We assess all skin- and wound-related problems, including burns, skin tears, fistulas, dermatitis, diabetic rashes, and abscesses.

For our patients’ convenience we provide the following adjunctive services

• Routine diabetic foot and nail care

• Ostomy education

Healing Outcomes

Our wound care protocols have been field tested since 1987 and are outcome-based. Our healing rates for 1999 are shown according to wound type in the table below.

Insurance Coverage

We are participating providers with the following Oregon insurance providers:

• All Providence health plans, including PPO  

• PacifiCare and Secure Horizons 

• All HealthNet (formerly QualMed) health plans, including Champus

• Regence Blue Cross PPO and indemnity plans

• And others

Our office staff is happy to help you with insurance and referral issues. We have a fee schedule for patients paying out-of-pocket.
